Bonding Over the Holidays
What does this special time of year look like for Bond team members?
The holiday season may look a little different this year, but many traditions are still being kept alive. Now that we know how to change our Zoom background and unmute our mics, many of our traditions can go from canceled to virtual. For many of us, the holiday season is a time to catch up with friends and family members in our own special way. Below are some of the Bond team members’ favorite holiday traditions some adding a 2020 twist:
Jennifer Bond, Partner
“One of my favorite holiday traditions is playing Secret Santa with my close girlfriends from growing up. For over 25 years, we’ve come together to exchange gifts and spend time together – a tradition that is still Zoom-friendly! One tradition that I’ll surely miss this year is our annual Bond Holiday Bash holiday party.”
Melanie du Mont, Account Executive
“Every Thanksgiving Eve and Christmas Eve my family goes out and gets a few bags of oysters to shuck and grill together. This year will be a little different given the distance between us all, but I’m hoping to grab my own sack of oysters to celebrate.”
Ryan Evans, Managing Supervisor
“Ever since Brennan’s re-opened in 2014, my family has established its own tradition of dining here for Christmas Eve brunch. It started with the two of us and we’ll hit our seventh year in a row next week, this time with a party of four.”
Skipper Bond, Partner
“On Christmas day, after we open presents with the girls at our house in the morning, we head to my parents to do the same while having milk punches. We then head home for a reprieve and then back to Carol and Buddy’s (my parents) for Christmas dinner with the family and close family friends.”
Sam Yujuico, Intern
“Every Christmas Eve we make a big gumbo and invite our family and friends over for an open house. Friends drop by from early evening to midnight for champagne punch and gumbo. This year, we will have a drive-through gumbo station with guests circling through to pick up a bowl of cheer.”
Happy Holidays!
