The Outlet Collection at Riverwalk
This month, The Outlet Collection at Riverwalk opened a new Polo Ralph Lauren store, marking its first new store opening since the beginning of quarantine. Expect to see The Cosmetics Store and Rock N’ Roll Sushi open their doors as we ease into September.
There are a few days left in their free parking validation offer, too! Any Louisiana resident who spends $20 or more within the mall can get full validation for parking in the adjacent “Whale Lot” until August 1.
For National Tequila Day on July 24, new Bywater favorite Galaxie Tacos served Frositas, a frozen drink made with Tequila, Campari, Dolin Dry Vermouth, Cocchi du Torino Sweet Vermouth, Orange, Angostura Bitters. The proceeds from the drinks went to Familias Unidas, a community organization in New Orleans and Louisiana primarily focused on providing shelter, food, aid and transitional support to immigrant families. The Frositas will be the newest addition to their lineup of frozen beverages. They are currently serving their flavorful Oaxacan fare in their ample patio area Tuesday – Saturday, 5pm – 10pm.
Art & AC Presented by the Helis Foundation
This past month, The Helis Foundation teamed up with some of New Orleans’ largest art institutions for the fourth year in a row to offer free admission on Sundays during the month of July.
The annual promotion, titled “Art & AC,” offers Louisiana residents free admission on Sundays to both the Ogden and The New Orleans Museum of Art. More than 10,000 Louisiana residents have enjoyed free admission to local art and cultural institutions as part of Art & AC over the years.
