Lagniappe: The Alliance for America’s Fish & Wildlife
Learn about how you can join the fight to save our wildlife
While many of us are still choosing to remain home as much as possible, nature continues to provide us with a much-needed respite from the stress of our day-to-day lives. This month, The Alliance for America’s Fish and Wildlife introduced their new conservation fundraiser in the state of Tennessee. Partnering with Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency (TWRA) to help spread the word, the Alliance has rolled out a means for people to help ensure our fish and wildlife habitats remain intact to allow future generations to pursue the outdoor activities we enjoy today.
Available for purchase on RecoverWildlife.com, The Alliance has created a face mask and T-shirts in men’s and women’s sizes made from 100% recycled materials. Available in navy heather and blue heather V-neck, the T-shirts ($25) and multi-functional face mask ($13) directly support the conservation of fish, wildlife, and their habitats in every state (free shipping included). The proceeds from each purchase will bolster the effort to pass The Recovering America’s Wildlife Act, which will be paramount in preventing the loss of over 12,000 species of wildlife and their habitats we hold dear.
Species of wildlife in Tennessee such as The Bald Eagle, The Tennessee Springfly, and The Tennessee Two-Clawed Spider, are currently threatened with endangerment. In Louisiana, our very own Tiger Salamander, Royal Tern, and Ornate Box Turtle are at risk of becoming extinct. By making a purchase from RecoverWildlife.com, you are taking action to help keep these species and their habitats alive and thriving.
Recently, the Alliance’s Campaign Manager, Sean Saville, went on TWRA’s TN Wildcast to discuss the Alliance’s mission and the conservation initiative. Check out the episode below.
